    Description:

    Archie's Retreat is a beautiful 1700 sq ft log cabin and was completed in June 2008. The Cabin is located in Oak Ridge off the 259A North entrance near Broken Bow Lake & Beavers Bend State Park.

    Sleeping arrangements consist of a king bedroom downstairs w/master bath. An additional 1/2 bath is located in the downstairs hallway for all guest usage. Upstairs is the second king bedroom and a hallway bath. The cabin has a large loft area with twin size over full-size bunk bed. Completing the sleeping arrangements are a full size pull out trundle bed and a futon sleeper, both located in the large loft area. All bed linens and bath towels are provided.

    Archie's Retreat has a fully equipped kitchen including coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, crock pot, hand mixer, dishes, pots and pans, bakeware and flatware. Everything you'll need to prepare and serve meals to the number of guest the cabin accommodates is provided. All you need to bring is the food! We can even assist you with prestocking your cabin with groceries. Click on the below Concierge link for more information.

    Archie's Retreat provides TVs in the living room area and both bedrooms w/ Directv and DVD/VCR players. Wireless Internet is available for those who need to stay connected to the outside world.

    Outside amenities include a Charcoal grill, plenty of outdoor seating, wraparound decks (both covered and open) and a fire pit area to roast those wieners and make marshmallow smores. The cabin has a circle drive with plenty of parking space and easy access for boat parking.

    After a day of activities at Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park, the cabin provides the ultimate in relaxation with an outdoor hot tub or rest in front of the gas fireplace on a cold winter evening. The cabin is decorated with a tree for Christmas so join us for the holiday season.

    Oak Ridge is heavily wooded and gets its name from the towering oak trees that fill the area. In the springtime the dogwoods in bloom will leave you speechless. It is breathtakingly beautiful.

    You'll see all types of wildlife in the Oak Ridge area. In the evening deer can be seen passing through and grazing along the entrances. I often stop and talk to them. I'm pretty sure they understand what I'm saying and they'll understand you too!
